Continuing the Year 0 activities, the ESG core members have been working together to continue to provide the bereavement sector with information and guidance in order to improve the sectors environmental performance. In response to several requests during the well attended and thought provoking round table events, the ESG are pleased to launch the Bereavement Sector Environmental Policy Statement based on 'Commitment' to meet the UK's climate change goals.
The document can be downloaded from the link below and aims to provide members of the bereavement sector with further guidance to manage, improve and enhance their environmental processes and policies.
On Tuesday the 6th of July the third and final round table in the first series of the Environmental Stewardship Groups look at the state of the sector in respect of the climate emergency and carbon reductions took place.
Thursday the 8th of July saw the ESG welcoming representatives of the Funeral Director profession at their 3rd round table event.
